Job Title: Community Health Worker Instructor – FY2021 (Q2)

About the Role
The Community Health Worker (CHW) Instructor is responsible for providing virtual instructor-led group training of the “Clinical Community Health Worker” certification curriculum. This curriculum includes CHW core competency training with emphasis on the clinical integration of Community Health Workers. Instruction will be provided in a team-based teaching approach.
Responsibilities
Deliver virtual classroom training
Create a positive, engaging, and interactive learning environment
Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
Ensure that all learners receive appropriate motivation, direction, coaching and feedback to achieve the learning objectives
Assemble and distribute course materials and teaching aids
Answer questions regarding training lessons and schedules in a timely manner
Operate audio visual equipment and other technology during training programs
Maintain administrative records such as schedules and rosters, and communicate this information through computer systems, files, phone calls, or email inquiries
Identify and communicate errors, gaps, or inaccuracies in the training materials
Partner with subject matter experts to develop, update, and expand learning programs for both in person and virtual environments
Design learning media as necessary to meet training needs
Develop and employ tools and technologies appropriate for a variety of learning delivery methods
Coordinate and contribute to instructional analysis, design, and evaluation activities

Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
Instructors are required to meet with classes at all scheduled times and be available to students outside of class instruction during “office hours”
Attends meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Service, Social Science, or Medical field. (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Public Health, Nursing, etc.)
At least 5 years non-teaching work experience in the field and appropriate license
Appropriate combination of education and work experience and certified as a CHW Instructor
Proficient in virtual conferencing platforms and other audiovisual technology
Equipment used includes: Laptop or PC with second monitor, other general office equipment
